Move over Beige: Benjamin Moore Just Announced a New Color of the Year
Have you heard? New neutrals are making a statement!
With 2020 approaching, the new decade signals a time for new beginnings. And the world of design is on board for a fresh start with new color trends.
As a leader in paint and color coatings, Benjamin Moore announced the Color of the Year 2020: First Light 2102-70. This soft, rosy pink is an alternative to white or beige, and is a fresh approach to neutrals. Paired with browns, taupes, and tans, this color is both inviting and uplifting.
“We selected First Light 2102-70 as our Color of the Year 2020 to represent a new dawn of idealism, design and living,” said Andrea Magno, Benjamin Moore Director of Color Marketing and Development. “First Light 2102-70 reflects a new definition of the home – a shift in mindset from the material to satisfying the core needs in life: community, comfort, security, self-expression, authenticity and ultimately, optimism.”
Along with First Light, nine other hues have been selected by Benjamin Moore for the Color Trends 2020 Palette. (Don’t worry, gray has not disappeared from the list!) These colors remain neutral enough to put in any room of your home, while adding color. The full palette includes:
- First Light 2102-70
- White Heron OC-57
- Crystalline AF-485
- Windmill Wings 2067-60
- Buxton Blue HC-149
- Golden Straw 2152-50
- Thunder AF-685
- Crushing Green HC-125
